My passion for piano began in childhood, experimenting with melodies on my grandmother’s antique piano. Music was my creative outlet, and I progressed quickly through the Royal Conservatory system, earning RCM Level 9 Piano and Level 3 History and Harmony by age 16.

Alongside my piano teaching, I am an experienced elementary educator with a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta. I began teaching piano while completing my degree and later established my home studio in Tuscany after teaching in Red Deer and Calgary. I specialize in teaching young beginners and Royal Conservatory students, creating a supportive and engaging learning environment.

In 2022, I earned my Master of Education and completed the Harmony Road Music Training course for piano teachers. My teaching philosophy centers on a holistic approach, nurturing creativity, problem-solving, and self-expression. I emphasize that both mistakes and successes are essential to growth.

In addition to private lessons, I offer group music classes for 4-5-year-olds, introducing young learners to piano through interactive and engaging activities.

I am a music lover and an RCM Certified Teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching both RCM examination and interest-based curriculum. Passionate and adaptable, I strive to cultivate musical enjoyment and appreciation in students of all ages.

Growing up in a musical family in Hong Kong, I developed a love for experimenting with different genres from the moment I began my piano journey at age five. I earned my Bachelor of Music in Elementary Education from the University of Calgary, studying under Charles Foreman and Patricia Jewell.

In my spare time, I work as a collaborative pianist, performing with soloists, ensembles, and bands. I also enjoy arranging music in my own “Popssical” style—a fusion of classical and pop—and organizing performances and stage productions for local community events.
